US HBT OD7 Overalls

During 1942 the US army found that the sage green colour they had faithfully been using during the initial years of the Second World War was no longer doing its job - it had become too light for concealment, and it was found that exposure was leading to fading of the fabric. So, after many tests and field trials, in 1943 Olive Drab #7 was introduced as its replacement.

OD no.7 is a darker shade than the sage green and was deemed much more appropriate for concealment purposes.

These repros feature:


• 100% cotton
• Herringbone Twill fabric
• Two leg pockets
• One chest pocket
• One pocket on the rear
• Leg cuffs can be adjusted with a button and loop

The suit was issued to many personnel, originally the tankies, and then later on issued to mechanics, linesmen, and General Infantry and used extensively throughout the Pacific Theatre.
